Kim & Josh – Krinklewood Vineyard

About: We are a fun-loving, relaxed couple with the best 2-year old cavoodle pup in the whole world, pepper. We met on the 77 nightclub dancefloor 12 years ago and have been dating for about 9 years. We love listening to music, eating, seeing comedy shows and travelling. Kim is a planner, Josh is a free spirit.

How did the proposal take place that lead to your Krinklewood Vineyard Wedding?: It was slightly delayed like a lot of events due to covid, but that made it more special. It was our last day in our apartment, Josh lied to me saying we needed to clean the oven before we handed over the keys. He ordered mexican takeaway (Kims favourite), not realising the critical error he made forgetting to order the guac and chips. After a 1.5h commute from work, a very hungry Kim collected the mexican finding the guac and chips missing. A now hungry and slightly angry Kim made her way to the apartment to clean the oven.
I opened the door to complete darkness, walking into a bare living room full of candles and our favourite song playing. Josh got down on one knee and I bawled my eyes out. There was still no guac and chips.

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: Josh: Growing up, I was clearly fed incorrect portions of pasta, as Kim‘s family use a packet of Barilla per person. I’ve also learnt that sometimes it’s good to be on time, rather than aim for a rough time (aka be late)
Kim: No matter how loud the alarm is, some people just can’t wake up (Josh haha). I’ve also learned that there’s no such thing as too many hobbies.

Tell us a little about the vision you had for your wedding at Krinklewood Vineyard?: We were both keen to have a party with minimal formalities. Our ideal would be for the whole day to be outdoors (weather permitting) so we can dance the night away under the stars. We have kept the styling minimal, with the florals and fairy lights at Krinklewood Vineyard the main decor.

Why did you select Krinklewood Vineyard for your wedding?: We loved the pebble courtyard and the relaxed, french provincial vibe. Their wine is super delish and we were sold as soon as we saw the disco balls at the end of each vine.
