Katherine & Nathan – Waldara Farm Wedding, Oberon

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?: We are a pretty relaxed couple, homebodies really – who are just happy hanging out together. We met online, Nathan took me out to dinner and we’ve been inseparable for the last nearly 7 years.

How did the proposal take place that lead to your Waldara Farm Wedding in Oberon?: Nathan proposed in Kangaroo Valley with a bizarre day of him trying to cover for this surprise picnic he’d organised. He managed to pull it off, but was very stressed considering their was no way I would have said anything but yes.

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: That we’re both trouble makers who like stirring the pot a bit. We get on like a house on fire and never get bored of spending time together.

What is the vision for your Waldara Farm wedding?: We are trying to create a relaxed day that focuses on everyone having an awesome day together. I’m a bit of a creative, so we’d had a lot of fun with the decor and colours. Nathan’s embraced this by choosing himself a burgundy suit that really sets the tone.
I’m really not one for the limelight, but I’m looking forward to a fun day without too much in the way of formalities.

What was the reason for selecting Waldara Farm in Oberon as your wedding venue?: We love that everyone can stay on site together, and that we get to make more of a weekend of it than just a night. The gardens are gorgeous, and we loved the variety of options for photographs, without having to rush from venue to venue all day.
