Kristianne & Farshad – The Grounds Of Alexandria, Linseed House

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?: We met at the RNB room at the Argyle the day before Kristis’s 21st birthday. We started dating later that year and since then it’s been 5 and a half years! Farshad‘s a relationship manager at CBA and Kristi is a banking and finance lawyer – so coincidently we work in the same field. Farshad is persian and Kristi is greek – farshad is more introverted and shy as a person (when you first meet him – then he becomes a pest!) and Kristi is more outgoing and talkative.

How did the proposal take place that lead to your Grounds Of Alexandria Wedding?: We went to Europe together in 2019 for a friends wedding for 5 weeks. Farshad proposed the first night we arrived in Mykonos. We hired quad bikes and went for a ride around Mykonos. We stopped by a random beach (Megali Ammos) and that’s where Farshad proposed! We then got a Yeeros to top it off!

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: Kristi – Farshad was never an animal person but once we got our minniture dachund last year (his name is Jet Li) he is obsessed. They sleep together and Farshad feeds him Watermelon and coconut water. Farshad – Kristi is actually much funnier than what I expected. She always runs late and also likes to sleep in. Together – We have learnt not to take life too seriously and that we can get through anything together.

What vision do you have for your Grounds Of Alexandria Wedding?: We are trying to go for a european traditional feel with the florals, ceremony and customs. The vision is just for everyone to have fun, relax, eat, drink and have a laugh. We really want to spread the love!

For your Grounds of Alexandria wedding, you picked Linseed House.. What was the reason behind your choice?: We liked the rustic look of the brick and the high ceilings. The Venue also promoted their big portions of food and being able to bring our own alcohol on the tables. We have always been taught that the most important element for a wedding is to ensure your guests are well fed and there are drinks available!
