Teniele & Dylan – Mali Brae Farm Wedding

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?: Teniele is a teacher and Dylan is a fund manager. Teniele’s friend Meaghan (bridesmaid) commented on a facebook post about Dylan’s relationship status and tagged me in it. Following this, Dylan messaged me asking me to dinner. We had our first date, got completely intoxicated and the rest is history.

How did the proposal take place that lead to your Mali Brae farm wedding?: Dylan was being a big weirdo. We had a few days planned away down the coast and he insisted on taking his dad’s 4WD. What I didn’t know at the time was that the ring was in the car. So we ended up getting into an argument because I wouldn’t organise to swap cars with his dad because it made no logical sense. In the end Dylan swapped cars himself and we headed down. About 30 seconds after we arrived in Mollymook he dropped the knee and asked. I didn’t actually say yes, I said are you ***ing kidding me. Not my finest moment.

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: I have learnt that Dylan has a great sense of humour, is kind and generous. Dylan say’s everything. We are very different but our differences complement each other well.

Can you share a little about the vision for your Mali Brae Farm wedding?: Very relaxed vibe with lots of laughs. The style is very casual and fun with a hint of country chic.

What was the reason for selection Mali Brae Farm for your wedding venue?: The thing that appealed to us the most was the beauty of the grounds with the ability to have the reception and the ceremony at the same place. The owners were really welcoming and helpful from day dot and have bent over backwards for us during covid. They have honestly been so amazing.
