Brooke & Anthony’s Athol Hall Wedding

I was pretty excited in the lead up to Brooke and Anthony’s wedding as this was my first wedding for 2020 after returning from the Christmas/New Years holidays. It’s always nice getting back to work after a little break. I was also very pleased with how the weather played out! They received a little rain in the morning but this didn’t hang around. Thankfully, the rain dissipated and only the clouds remained. This meant that for their outdoor summer ceremony they received some beautiful soft lighting conditions.

Considering both Brooke and Anthony flew in from San Deigo for their Athol Hall wedding, it was fair to assume they would have a few guests doing the same thing. This was one of the main reasons why the couple selected Athol Hall as their wedding venue. They wanted their guests to not only have the opportunity to enjoy drinks on the lawn but also to soak in some of the panoramic views which included some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. When it came to the styling for their wedding both Brooke and Anthony wanted it to be kept fairly simple. This was intended to reflect the couples laid back nature. For this, they went with a tropical luxe vibe which consisted mostly of whites, greens with some subtle pops of gold.
The proposal which lead to their Athol Hall wedding took place in 2018. Brooke explained that the couple live a few blocks from the beach. Anthony suggested they get out of the house and walk down the strand and along the beach to grab dinner at the Manhattan Beach Pier (which is a regular occurrence). Unfortunately, they missed the sunset due to an unscheduled call from Anthony’s boss, however, he still insisted they go. As they were walking down the strand, he told Brooke that he wanted to stop off at one of the benches which was odd because there was no sunset. At that point, Brooke suspected that something was up and sure enough, Anthony got the ring out of his pocket and popped the question. Brooke, of course, said yes!
