Roslyn & Hugh – Botanic Gardens Wedding Sydney

Tell us a little about yourselves: Hugh and I met in Uni and have been together 12 years – we’ve travelled around the world (mostly in search of food), he taught me how to ski, I taught him how to speak Spanish, we lived in London for five years, bought and renovated a flat there, and two years ago moved home to start the next chapter!

How did he/she propose?: Hugh proposed on Palm Beach, very nervously (haha!) after a hot hike to the top of the headland which was swarming with tourists (so he had to reconsider his initial plan to propose up there)

What’s the vision for your wedding day?: We thought it would be cool to have people dressed glamorously in tuxedos etc in the gardens and then the converted warehouse!

Venue Selection: Ceremony: after living away from home for so long, we were so happy to get married somewhere very “Sydney”. The Rose Garden in the Botanic Gardens was perfect.

Reception: our top priority was somewhere with great food that had a fun atmosphere.
