Madeleine & Nicholas – Luna Park wedding

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?: We both work in Real Estate and we met in Sydney when we were out one night with friends. We both come from families that grew up in Sydney.

How did the proposal take place that lead to your Luna Park wedding?: He proposed when we were away at his family’s farm in Scone. We were alone, it was just after breakfast and he went back inside and came out to sit down next to me. After a few minutes he pulled out the ring and asked.
It was great because we were alone with no reception so we could just enjoy the moment.

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: We don’t take ourselves and each other too seriously. We have the ability to make each other laugh even over the smallest / silliest little things or quirks.

What was the vision for Luna Park Wedding?: We wanted a day centred around us and our family. For the reception, we went fairly minimal with some native tones throughout. As Madeleine comes from a Greek background we will have a few traditions during the ceremony and evening that we will run through along with a mixture of Greek dancing.

Why did you select Luna Park for your wedding?:  Nick loves the position right on the harbour and the room’s very large windows and high ceilings. Madeleine was hooked by the ‘Brides on Rides’ offering at Luna Park – the day can be stressful enough so will be nice to have some fun and laugh at ourselves in between the formalities.
