Jess & Rick’s Southern Highlands Wedding at the Springs Grove Dairy

Rick just so happened to grow up in Kangaroo valley and since being together he and Jess have shared lots of special times there. This made the decision of where to hold their wedding rather easy. For their Southern Highlands wedding, Jess & Rick hosted their guests at an intimate little hall named The Springs Grove Dairy. Both Jess and Rick wanted their special day to be quite relaxed, nothing which was to over the top. The most important thing to them was that their guests enjoyed themselves.
The chain of events which lead to their Southern Highlands wedding started in Broome. It was here where Jess was a medical student and Rick was working as a pearl diver. It was on a random night out at the Roebuck hotel where they first happened to meet. A couple of months after meeting Rick eventually left to work in the Northern Territory and so the two continued to chat over skype. After growing tired of Skype, they decided it would be a good idea to meet in Bali the following year. It was this little holiday which sealed the deal and they have been together ever since.
Before they could begin planning their Southern Highlands wedding there first needed to be a proposal. This happened one evening in Cresent head when Rick arranged a little picnic on the headland which overlooked the ocean. Apparently Jess knew something was up when Rick pulled out the really good champagne. I was told he was also acting super weird and nervy. But before she knew it he was on his knee and asked her to be his wife. The two then ate cheese and danced around on the headland without a single person in sight, it was a heavenly afternoon Jess explained.
