When it comes to The Springs, don’t let the fact that it’s a working golf course deter you, it’s actually one of its many draw cards. The property is quite large (125 Acres), so there are plenty of spaces to take photos and what better way to get around than by golf cart. The staff here are extremely helpful and will go to any length to ensure your wedding day runs exactly as planned. Whether you’re planning a small wedding or one with 350 guests, The Springs has you covered.
As far as I am aware, The Springs is one of the only Central Coast wedding venues which allows you to hold your entire reception under the stars while having access to power. This allows you to bring the atmosphere by adding hundreds of festoon lights to your outdoor reception space. If you would prefer to hold your reception indoors then they can cater for that as well. In this case, they have two large rooms for you to entertain your guests, each with an Industrial/rustic vibe.
Glenworth Valley is a spectacular privately owned property situated within the Central Coast’s Hinterland. With multiple ceremony locations, some which feature 180-degree views across the valley and a newly built function centre, Glenworth Valley will be able to host your entire wedding from start to finish. Whichever part of the property you decide to use for your photos you can guarantee they will look amazing when taken in front of the many valley backdrops. For your reception, the newly built function centre can host up to 180 guests and has two separate rooms, the wilderness room and the rainforest room. Whether you’re looking for a reception space which opens out onto a spacious balcony or a lush lawn, you can take your pick.
When it comes to choosing from this list of Central Coast wedding venues, one big draw cards for Glenworth Valley is the daily horse run. Imagine 200 or so horses galloping across open paddocks and through river crossings. It’s a pretty spectacular event and yes you can get photos as they run past. I can promise you, you won’t find anything like this from any other venue! This event is shown in some of our photos below.
Next up is Graceland’s, this venue is a little more coastal in nature as it’s located a mere 700 meters from the beautiful Forresters Beach. Here, their team of event coordinators, food stylists and chefs will ensure you and your guests have a wonderful experience. Graceland’s boasts a lovely garden area which flows out from their indoor entertaining space and licensed bar. The garden makes for a perfect ceremony area while the indoor space is big enough for both cocktail and formal sit down events. Considering that Forresters Beach and Spoon Bay are minutes down the road, you won’t have to leave your guests for long when it comes to getting your bridal party photos.
Bells at Killcare is one of the Central Coast’s many hidden gems. It is a stunning boutique hotel situated high on the NSW Bouddi Peninsula. Because it’s decorated in a classic Hamptons style, this venue/hotel oozes character and charm. Its well-established gardens are ready to form the backdrop for your ceremony and their reception space is big enough to host 120 people (sit down) or 220 people (cocktail). Considering that Bouddi National park is right on its doorstep and the venue itself is surrounded by perfectly maintained gardens there are plenty of photo opportunities here.
Fernbank Farm is a prestige wedding and ceremony venue which calls the beautiful Yarramalong Valley home. The venue itself is situated on 25 gorgeous acres and includes 2 onsite accommodation options. If you’re looking to make a unique entrance to your ceremony then why not utilise their vintage cart & Clydesdale horses for this special moment. If this venue grabs your fancy, don’t leave it too long before enquiring though as they only take on 28 weddings per year.
If you’re looking for a slightly more intimate venue with that quintessential rural atmosphere then The Hillview could just be the venue for you. It is described as “old world charm meets rustic country charm” by owner Jill Murphy. This 117-acre property features a very special ceremony area situated amongst the macadamia orchard which comes complete with a timber arbor and flagstone paving. The Hillview does have limited accommodation options as there is only the main residence available, however, there are plenty of other Airbnb/Stayz options located within Yarramalong Valley. If you had your heart set on a slightly larger wedding, there is a space for a marquee to be set up which could potentially accommodate up to 120 people.
The Stables Of Somersby is a relatively new venue which is located within the Central Coast hinterland. The old barn found on this private equestrian property has been lovingly repurposed in a rustic fashion. It stands surrounded by natural bushland, sprawling lawns and a spectacular dam which comes complete with a boathouse and jetty. Here, the possibilities are endless as the stables and grounds are exclusively yours. With numerous options for your ceremony, photos and reception, it’s the perfect canvas for you to create the wedding you had envisioned.
Linton Gardens is another one of the many Central Coast wedding venues located in Somersby, a part of the Central Coast hinterland. This venue sits on a private 6-acre property which is surrounded by the heritage-listed Camilla Gardens. If you’re looking through this list of Central Coast wedding venues in the hopes of finding a venue which specialises in small to medium-sized outdoor garden weddings that can host 40 to 120 guests, then this is it. Cornwallis House is located on the banks of the Hawkesbury River and because of this, it’s often referred to as the jewel of the Hawkesbury. The homestead is a large Queenslander style building which is set amongst a working orange orchid. The home itself offers luxurious on-site accommodation for up to eight people. The homestead has all the modern comforts and can sleep up to 15 guests prior and post-wedding. Because this venue is a blank canvas it means you have the opportunity to create a wedding which is entirely you. Kantara House was originally built in the 1960s where it was seen as the epitome of elegance and sophistication. However, it wasn’t until 2014 when the Reid family bought the property and breathed some new life into it. They even went a step further and constructed what is now known as the beautiful Charlotte Chapel. Kantara House considers itself to be a ‘one-stop-shop’ when it comes to your wedding day (even though they don’t like the cheesy catchphrase). For the ceremony, if chapels aren’t your thing, then that’s okay as there is a completely separate space designed for outdoor ceremonies. In terms of the reception, you can utilise their spacious Ashley Phillip room which can accommodate up to 200 guests. And when all is said and done you can return to the on-site bridal suite to wind down at the end of the day.
Somersby Estate Gardens is one of the many premier Central Coast Wedding Venues. If you planning to hold your wedding in a unique location, Norah Head Lighthouse could very well be the place to do it. You can book this space for both your ceremony and reception, however you will need to bring in the suppliers and any equipment (marquees & food etc) if you are to do so. On the other hand, if holding your reception here seems like a bit too much to take on, then maybe using the space for just your ceremony is a more suitable option. With uninterrupted views across the ocean and a headland that you can utilise in your bridal party photos, Norah Head Lighthouse has lots of potential.
The Crown Plaza Terrigal is a beachside hotel is set in an idyllic location just across the road from Terrigal Beach. It has 180-degree sweeping ocean views with stacker windows that allow the fresh sea breeze to blow straight in. Bookings at The Reef are predominately for receptions, however, there are plenty of other options when it comes to finding somewhere for your ceremony. If you would like your ceremony to also be held at the Haven then this is possible but you will need to apply for a permit through Gosford Council.
