Hayley & Scott – Mona Farm, Braidwood

Can you tell us about yourselves: Scott and I both work for ourselves. Scott is an Environmental Consultant and I am a Virtual Assistant. We met on Tinder, had our first date at a coffee shop and quickly arranged our second date for the very next evening. We clicked almost immediately and felt very comfortable and close. We have a dog Scout and are renovating our home. I moved into Scott’s home within the first 6 months of dating and Scott proposed 2 years later.

Tell us about the proposal that lead to your Mona Farm wedding?: Scott proposed on the beach in Brunswick Heads. Scott designed the ring and it was all a complete surprise. We were walking along the beach on the only sunny day the entire week we were visiting.  Scott ducked into the dunes to grab the ring out of his back pocket, we started to walk back and he got down on one knee and proposed.

What have you learnt about each other since being together?: We both love the quiet life yet value quality time with each-other and loved ones. We both share the same dreams, to live the best life possible. I’ve learned Scott likes to do a little boogie in front of the mirror when he is getting dressed! I’d say Scott has learned that I love to laugh at my own jokes!

Please share a little about the vision you have for your Mona Farm wedding: We vision a very romantic day in a very romantic setting. Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, we picture lots of laughter, love and tears of joy. Lots of warm embraces, smiles and good times while creating very special memories at a very special place – Mona Farm in Braidwood. It’s a black tie wedding so we are wanting to highlight the luxe a little. We love classic, clean, natural beauty.

Why did you select Mona Farm for your wedding?: Mona Farm in Braidwood is simply breathtaking. It’s luxurious yet so inviting. We adore the scenery and the art around the property. Everywhere you look there is something incredibly beautiful to look at. And the Highland Cows!!
